Rave Traveling Tips - Roadtrip Edition

Rave Traveling Tips - Roadtrip Edition

by: Koretha

Festivals may not be here this year, but that doesn’t mean they have come to an end.

Take advantage of this time and plan ahead. Down below are a few of my roadtrip tips that could come in handy for your next rave journey!

1. Travel with friends

The more the merrier, and cheaper the costs as well. Splitting the costs of gas, rentals, and/or parking between 5 people sound a lot better than 1.

Traveling with another person can also make you feel safer especially in an unfamiliar place.

2. Car rentals

When traveling to a far and unfamiliar place I recommend renting out a car so no one has to worry about something happening to their car on the trip.

I highly recommend getting insurance for it too! Save the worries and rack up the miles on the rental instead.

3. Extra cash

It’s better to be safe than sorry. I always carry at least a 20 just for gas in case of an emergency if my card doesn’t work or if they only accept cash.

4. Gas

Always check and fill up before you leave for your destination.

There’s gas apps that will tell you the prices of nearby locations which is super helpful to use so you can save as much as you can.

This really makes a difference when you’re driving over hundreds of miles.

5. Water and snacks

Bring water and snacks for the drive, but pace yourself the drive might be a long one.

Don’t forget to pack a small bag for any trash that might pile up.

6. Earplugs

If you’re a light sleeper like I am with energy crazy friends like mine, your best bet to getting a wink of sleep in the bass filled car are earplugs.

You can CLICK HERE to get the RaverMD Earplugs from here at Rave Bae Couture.

Take a nap or two and rest up as much as you can during the drive!

7. Make a playlist beforehand

Not necessary to do, but definitely helps the vibe going to have them play one after another.

Also it’s a good idea to have a playlist with energetic tunes to keep you more awake for the drive if needed.

8. Shades

The sun is unforgiving and will dry your eyes out, trust me, pack a pair of shades your eyes will thank me later.

Some other alternatives to consider are color therapy glasses.

They are said to help with enhancing moods so if you’re feeling anxious, stressed, or agitated give these a try!

9. Be extra cautious driving

Most cops know when and where the big festivals roll out near their town and will be waiting tucked in somewhere to catch you speeding.

10. Check the route beforehand

This is probably the most important tip.

Being stuck in traffic can be a nightmare, so plan ahead and check the maps apps to determine a good time to leave.

Waze has been pretty consistent for me and allows me to check ahead to the next day so I know when the best time to leave.

11. Enjoy the ride

Stay safe and have fun!

Leave all the worries at home and party on, I hope these tips will come in handy for your next adventure!
